I saw this in a sitting pond
Buddha glared at his crotch
Reflections blessed the sun
We howled and ran the field
The grass was a main of hair
We were lice and ate the earth
Rolled like children on snow days
I saw other signs of spirit;
a blue jay. Galloped from branch to branch
The bugger beckoned me to keep tail
I obeyed the wings true flapping
The forest never filled
The barks turned white pale
Ghost trees bare and sullen
Ended the blue jay cried the trail
Flied from my eyes good sight
and split the sky in two
I thought of how I used to
nestle my head into your breast
and smile my nights with you
